It starts with the wild strain

Every mushroom begins with a strain, the genetic blueprint of the organism.

In nature, mushrooms grow wild. Wild mushrooms are highly variable and unstable, making them unsuitable for consistent and safe consumption at scale.

Experienced cultivators carefully identify strong, healthy wild strains and bring them into controlled cultivation. These strains are then propagated into what is called spawn, the clean starting culture used to grow mushrooms.

If the spawn is weak, contaminated, or poorly selected, no later step can fix that.

We work only with producers who:

  • start from verified, uncontaminated strains
  • propagate spawn in controlled, clean environments
  • reject fast-growing but nutritionally inferior varieties

This is where quality is decided, before a mushroom ever grows.

Many companies never look this far back.
We do.

100% Fruiting bodies

Mushrooms consist of two main parts:

  • Mycelium the root-like network that grows through grain or substrate
  • Fruiting body the mature mushroom you recognize and harvest

We use 100% fruiting bodies. Full stop.
No mycelium. No grain-grown biomass. No starches, fillers, or carrier materials.

Fruiting bodies naturally contain higher concentrations of polysaccharides and beta-glucans, compounds that have been traditionally valued and are widely studied in mushroom research. When mushrooms are grown as mycelium on grain, the final product often contains a substantial amount of that grain. This increases weight but dilutes the actual mushroom content, meaning consumers may be paying primarily for grain-derived fiber rather than concentrated mushroom extract.

Many companies choose mycelium-based products because they grow faster, cost less to produce, and are easier to scale. The trade-off is quality.

We choose fruiting bodies because they are slower to grow, more demanding to cultivate, and nutritionally denser. That choice is deliberate, and it is the foundation of our blends.

Certified organic

Because mushrooms absorb what surrounds them, the conditions they grow in matter deeply. We work exclusively with certified organic fruiting bodies, cultivated without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers.

Organic cultivation reduces the risk of unwanted residues from the start. It also protects soil health, water quality, and long-term growing environments, which directly affects the integrity of the mushrooms themselves.

From cultivation to handling, our products are certified and managed under EU organic standards. This ensures traceability, oversight, and accountability at every stage.

Organic is built into how our mushrooms are grown, not added later.

Sourced from Dao Di regions

Dao Di is a well-established concept in traditional Chinese herbal practice and a protected designation under Chinese law. It refers to ingredients grown in the regions where a species naturally thrives and has historically produced the highest-quality material.

Certain mushrooms develop their full structure and composition only in environments aligned with their natural habitat, shaped by local climate, soil, altitude, and generations of cultivation knowledge. When grown outside these regions, quality and consistency are harder to achieve, even with modern techniques.

We work with producers who cultivate each mushroom in its recognized Dao Di region, combining organic practices with verified strains and controlled cultivation to support slow, complete development.

Dao Di matters because environment matters.

Gold standard: dual-extraction

Raw mushrooms are not easily digestible. Their cell walls are made of chitin, the same tough material found in crab shells. When raw mushroom powder is consumed, much of it passes through the body unused.

This is why we use the gold-standard: dual extraction.

Through a combination of hot water and alcohol extraction, the mushroom’s cell walls are broken down, releasing naturally occurring compounds such as polysaccharides and beta-glucans, along with other constituents specific to each mushroom. These compounds are then concentrated into a stable extract powder that dissolves easily, remains consistent from batch to batch, and reflects traditional preparation methods refined with modern control.

Our extracts are standardized to contain more than 20% beta-glucans, verified through batch testing of the fruiting body extracts.

Dual extraction does not add anything. It simply makes what is already present accessible.

Independent testing

Mushrooms are bio-accumulators. This means they naturally absorb and concentrate substances from their growing environment, including both beneficial compounds and unwanted contaminants. Because of this, testing is essential.

Every batch is tested for:

  • heavy metals
  • pesticide residues
  • microbiological safety
  • moisture and stability
  • characteristic compounds of fruiting body extracts

Testing is carried out both by our producers and independent laboratories.
It is a basic responsibility when working with mushrooms intended for daily use.

The long road, chosen deliberately

Working with verified strains grown in their natural Dao Di regions.
Cultivated under certified organic conditions.
Harvesting only 100% fruiting bodies.
Prepared through gold-standard dual extraction.
Tested carefully, batch by batch.

These choices take more time and cost more money.
We make them anyway.

Because quality is not something you declare at the end.
It is something you build from the very beginning, when what you create is meant to be used daily, by our families and yours.

That is the standard we choose to work by.
